Teaching & Learning Support Assistants

(to include personal and medical care support)


Salary: C Band - £15,363 – £17,302 (Actual Salary) 

(This is subject to qualifications)


Required for October 2021


Post 1: Year 1 - Pupil specific – Monday to Friday 8.45am – 3.45pm (32.5 hours) 

39 weeks per year. To support a pupil with complex needs

Post 2: KS2 Class - Pupil specific - Monday to Friday 8.45am – 3.45pm (32.5 hours) 

39 weeks per year (this post will include some work in the child’s home 

prior to them transitioning into school)


Governors are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistants for the above posts. These roles will entail supporting pupil’s education,

care and medical needs. All training provided.


Merstone School is:

- NNEB/ NVQ 3 /BTEC or other relevant childcare qualifications

- GCSE Maths & English Pass
